FAKTOR-FAKTOR YANG MEMPENGARUHI TUJUAN NASABAH DALAM MENGGUNAKAN PRODUK PEMBIAYAAN BANK SYARIAH (STUDI KASUS BANK SYARIAH MANDIRI CABANG PADANG)

Abstract
Purpose – This study aims to test a theoretical model of determinants of customer’s intention to use Islamic Personal Financing in Bank Syariah Mandiri branch Padang. The theoretical model based from previous study was developed by Amin et al (2011). This previous study tests the model of determinants of customer’s intention to use Islamic Personal Financing in Islamic Bank of Malaysia. The present study investigates the effects of the following factors: attitude; social influence; religious obligation; pricing; and government support on the intention to use Islamic personal financing. Design/methodology/approach – The sample comprised of 120 customers of Bank Syariah Mandiri branch Padang. Data were obtained through survey using semi-structured questionnaire. Out of a total of 120 responses, only 87 responses were usable for further analysis. The study used regression to analyze the data. Findings – The study found two determinants to be significant in influencing the intention to use Islamic personal financing, namely attitude and religious obligation of Islamic personal financing. Social influence, pricing, and government support were found to be insignificant predictors.
